This as the first time our chapter had the Christmas Showcase at the “new” Champion Ballroom. There was a lot more room for tables and especially dancing. The tables were decorated in red cloth linen tablecloths, fresh greens, hurricane lamps with candles and festive varied sizes of red ornaments. A beautifully decorated tree was placed in the corner and made a perfect backdrop for photos of guests. There was a catered dinner provided by Cupid’s Catering. The food was delicious and was really enjoyed by everyone.
There were 13 shows made up of the Sunday dance class and individual members with their partners or instructors. They were all beautiful as well as very entertaining. In additional to the show, there was plenty of time for dancing to the delight of all the attendees.
There were 3 Marines in attendance to accept our toy donations to their Toys for Tots drive. I think one of them was even convinced to attend the Sunday dance class. Also in attendance was the ‘GRINCH’ who got his photo taken many times with the ladies. That really added to the festivity of the evening.
Many thanks to all of the members who came to help decorate the tables and for all the other things that go into making a social successful. Your help is always appreciated
